What should I know before starting my volunteer shift?

Welcome aboard! Here are the key things to keep in mind:

Arrival

Please arrive 30 to 45 minutes before your shift for registration. This step is essential for both legal and insurance coverage.

Orientation

After registration, our crew coordinator will take you to your assigned station and give you a quick orientation. You’ll receive your job description in the weeks leading up to the festival.

Expenses

Legally, volunteers in Belgium receive a fee, depending on the number of hours you work, with a maximum of € 40 per day. This is not considered a salary, but a flat rate for expenses. We cannot legally pay for travel or accommodation.
