Beyond Classic, the cultural highlight of Beyond Darklands, returns on Friday 19 February 2027, in an extraordinary new setting: the magnificent Rubens Hall at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp (KMSKA). Inspired by this edition’s theme, The Ancient Mythology of Fetish, the evening brings music, art and desire together in an intimate benefit performance.
The first confirmed artists include Fetisch Baroque, musical director Michael Hell, internationally acclaimed mezzo-soprano Iris Vermillion and singer-songwriter Gregory Frateur. And there’s more to come! Additional artists and performances will be revealed soon.
This edition explores The Ancient Mythology of Fetish, bringing the stories captured in the museum’s paintings to life through music. Classical sounds meet ancient desires in an evening inspired by mythology and art.
Start concert: 8 pm
Guided museum tour: 6 pm (included in category A ticket)
Our new venue comes with three ticket categories, each offering a different way to enjoy Beyond Classic.
Category A includes an exclusive guided museum tour at 6 pm, exploring how the old masters played with desire, masks, power and seduction. You’ll also enjoy priority entry to the concert hall, giving you first choice of seats. Please arrive by 5:45 pm for the tour.
Category B skips the museum tour but still gives you priority entry to the concert hall, allowing you to choose from the best available seats.
Category C offers regular entry with free choice of the remaining available seats.
For both categories B and C, doors open at 7 pm. All seating is unreserved, so your ticket category determines when you get to choose your spot.
Arriving early with an empty stomach? A selection of light bites will be available for purchase at the museum from 5:30 pm, perfect for grabbing something before the evening begins.
Tickets are available in the Beyond Darklands ticket shop.
Beyond Classic Antwerp is organised by volunteers. Most of the production costs (venue rent, musicians, sound and lights, and catering) are donated by our generous partners and sponsors. This way, we can generate the maximum amount of money
from the concert to donate to charity.
The proceeds from Beyond Classic 2027 will support Forbidden Colours, a Brussels-based nonprofit defending LGBTIQ+ rights across Europe. With this support, we stand alongside those working for a future where everyone can love, express themselves and live openly without fear. From the concert hall to the dance floors of Beyond Darklands, we celebrate pride, freedom and the right to be yourself.
The proceeds from Beyond Classic 2027 will go to Fetish@Pride.Amsterdam and the travel funds of thetitleholders elected during Beyond Darklands. With this support, we help the iconic Fetish Boat sail in the Canal Parade at next year’s WorldPride in Amsterdam, a powerful symbol of visibility, safety and connection. Fetish is not just style, it’s history, resistance and self-expression. From the canals of Amsterdam to the dance floors of Beyond Darklands, we celebrate pride, freedom and the right to be yourself.
