Supporting Forbidden Colours

Somewhere in Europe tonight, someone will let go of a hand on the walk home. Someone will hide what they desire. Someone will wonder if the way they love will ever be safe.

Love doesn’t come in one shape. It doesn’t follow a rulebook, and it doesn’t need anyone’s permission beyond that of the consenting adults who share it. It’s yours to define, freely and without apology.

Yet across Europe, too many people are still told that the way they love, dress or express themselves is wrong or shameful. The rights our community fought so hard for remain under threat.

Forbidden Colours exists to fight back. The Brussels-based NGO defends the human rights of LGBTIQ+ people and works to protect equality, freedom and dignity across Europe.

That’s why Forbidden Colours is the main beneficiary of funds raised by WR1 at Beyond Darklands 2027. Proceeds from Beyond Classic will also go to Forbidden Colours, helping turn our community’s support into action.

Forbidden Colours has stood up against the so-called “LGBT-free zones” in Poland, pushed for infringement action against Hungary and mapped the anti-LGBTIQ+ and anti-gender movement across 46 countries, exposing networks working to roll back our rights.

The mission is clear: everyone deserves to love who they want, the way they want, and to be who they are without fear or shame. Making that possible takes people willing to stand up, speak out and support the work.

Our community can help. By supporting WR1’s fundraising or attending Beyond Classic, you contribute to the fight for the freedoms we should all be able to enjoy.

Come and meet Forbidden Colours at Beyond Darklands 2027. Join their keynote, visit their booth and discover how you can help protect LGBTIQ+ rights across Europe. Every conversation matters. Every voice counts. Every bit of support makes a difference.
