Behind The Ember Dunes
Preproduction for Beyond Darklands: The Ember Dunes is officially shifting into high gear. February may still feel far away, but behind the scenes, the next edition is already starting to take shape.
The first creative brainstorm for our legendary Midnight Show has taken place. Our creative team is working on an entirely new concept, built from scratch for 2027 and, of course, performed on a completely new Main Stage. What happens when the lights go down at midnight? That stays firmly under wraps for now.
And the Main Stage isn’t the only thing getting a transformation. Our first set design kick-off has also taken place, laying the foundations for the world of The Ember Dunes. Expect a completely new environment, new details to discover and a fresh experience throughout Beyond Darklands. The designs? Another secret we’re keeping locked away until the time is right.
While the creatives have been filling their heads with new ideas, our Dark Force team has been getting their hands dirty in the warehouse. Equipment is being checked, cleaned and prepared so everything is ready to come back to life in February.
Ever wondered how ball pit balls are cleaned? We work with a specialized company to hygienically deep-clean the thousands of balls from the infamous Camp K9 ball pit. They’ve had their bath, they’re fresh and they’re ready for play fun at Beyond Darklands 2027.
Piece by piece, The Ember Dunes are beginning to rise. You won’t see much of it just yet, but behind closed doors, Beyond Darklands 2027 is already very much alive.
