DJ Pol wins DJ Contest 2027

The decks have spoken. The jury has made its choice. And we have a winner.

Congratulations to DJ Pol, winner of the Darklands DJ Contest 2027!

Born in Ghent and now based in the Netherlands, DJ Pol first stepped behind the decks in the ’90s, playing gay parties and private play parties. After taking a break from DJing, the pull of the booth proved too strong. Since returning, he has brought his sound to events including Sneaky, Fetish Social Brabant, Gladiatrix, G4Y and LeatherprideNL.

His musical playground stretches from classic trance and goa/psy to melodic techno. But what really caught the jury’s attention wasn’t just what he played. It was how he built the set.

The jury praised his great track selection, strong melodic sense and infectious energy, describing his set as musical, melodic, bouncy and fun. They also saw plenty of potential for the dancefloor, with moments that lighting and production can really hook into.

Most importantly, there was a clear understanding of the journey.

And apparently some impressive powers of concentration too. While just about everything happening around him seemed determined to audition for its own comedy show, DJ Pol kept his focus where it belonged: on the music. The beats landed, the melodies worked and the set kept moving.

For DJ Pol, fetish parties have always had something special: an open-minded, relaxed atmosphere where people can let go and the music gets room to do its dirty work.

Now it’s time to find out what happens when we give him a Beyond Darklands dancefloor.

As the winner, DJ Pol will open Fury, the closing party on Sunday, 21 February 2027, setting the tone for one final, unforgettable night.
