Job description
– You coördinate the crew during build up and break down of the playrooms.
– You supervise the implementation of the construction plans.
– You ensure the realisation of the playroom plans within the given timeframe.

– Your creative mind provides the finishing touch.
– You ensure a safe experience for our guests.
– You ensure operation of the playrooms during parties.

– Cleaning is not part of your duties.
Skills and requirements
You can lead a team and motivate them in their assignment. Following time schedules, reading plans and managing your team members is right up your alley.
You are flexible according to the needs during the festival.
You can both work independently or in team.
You are stress-resistant and approachable to your team members.
You are strong in organizing, structuring, and you are constantly looking for improvements
Event industry experience is a plus but not required.

Languages: Speaking and reading fluent English is required. Dutch is a plus but not required.

Work location
Preparation meetings are done online, at the Darklands office or possible another location.
At the festival you work at Waagnatie, Rijnkaai 150, 2000 Antwerpen.
Duration of the assignment

This is a temporary assignment.

– Preparations: about 2 days between 1 January and the festival.
– Festival: You start working on Tuesday 7 March 2023 early morning and finish Monday 13 March 2023 late evening.

Work schedule:

+ Build up darkrooms hal 1: Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 March (9 am – 10 pm)
+ Build up darkrooms hal 2: Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 March (9 am – 10 pm)
+ Darkroom operations: Thursday 9 March (9 pm – 3 am)
+ Darkroom operations: Friday 10 March (10 pm – 6 am)
+ Darkroom operations: Saturday 11 March (10 pm – 6 am)
+ Darkroom operations: Sunday 12 March (6 pm – 1 am)
+ Break down darkrooms hal 2: Sunday 12 March (6 – 11 pm)
+ Break down darkrooms hal 1: Monday 13 March (9 am – 10 pm)
Salary and conditions
– A dynamic and inspiring environment where we support our community.
– An attractive manager salary is negotiated based on your qualifications. Preparation is billed per hour, work at the festival with a daily rate.
– You either work on a freelance basis or as a temporary employee.
– We provide lodging if required for the duration of your assignment with arrival on Monday 6 March 2023 and departure on Tuesday 14 March 2023.
– You’ll receive travel expenses or transportation will be arranged for you if required.
